The Park Gym | Our Story
The Park Gym is San Francisco's premier boxing and fitness gym, located in the heart of the Divisadero corridor. We were founded on a simple but powerful idea: boxing is a skill — and skills can be learned, measured, and mastered at any age. Under the guidance of Master David Park, a 6th Dan black belt who has trained Olympic-level athletes and coached teams at the national and international level, our curriculum is one of the most structured and progressive boxing programs in the Bay Area. We don't just throw you gloves and call it cardio. We teach you how to box — and we have the levels, proficiency exams, and certifications to prove your progress every step of the way.
Boxing at The Park Gym is two things at once: one of the most effective full-body workouts you'll ever find, and a martial art built around defense. Strength, cardio, coordination, and mental sharpness all improve together — and because defense wins championships, what you learn here is also real, practical self-defense. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced athlete, our structured levels meet you where you are and take you somewhere better. Watch your fundamentals sharpen.
